Chambery inn is a charming place with spacious rooms and high ceilings. We enjoyed the lovely tea selection, especially the harney & sons. The breakfast basket delivered to our room was a good surprise. It's also conveniently located within walking distance of several good restaurants.

Lee location but the actual location of the inn was terrible -- there was a truck loading station right behind the inn that started loading at 6:00 am.
The bed had the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever experienced in an inn. I woke up about every hour to turn over after my hip and shoulder began to ache. My entire body ached in the morning. The breakfast came in a basket -- somewhat appealing -- but was very limited in its offerings. The room was on the backside of the inn that was directly opposite to a truck loading station (see comment above).

The staff were very accommodating, the breakfast in the room was very good, and the king size bed was a treat.
The area where the hotel is located is very quiet, but on the first night there were loud electric-motor noises in the hotel that were a little annoying. It is an old house, so perhaps nothing can be done, but it marred an otherwise perfect stay.

A combination of hits and misses
The vintage charm of the space combined with high ceilings and a comfortable bed. We loved the choice of Harney & Sons tea and the fun blackboard for notes!
Despite its charm, staff availability was lacking. We hardly saw anyone at the front desk during our entire visit. The dated shower left something to be desired.

Privacy. Close entrance to room from outside
Very noisy because of the location - train, traffic, town fire alarm, construction Pillows too soft - no support whatsoever Difficult to view TV because of location in room Hair dryer did not work European earwig insect in room Overpowering spray in room when we entered. Not sure what. Hard to breathe.

The whole Inn is so quiet that we didn't see anybody the whole weekend.
The building is a former school building, and while it has spacious rooms with high ceilings, the windows do not open. This, uncomfortable. The costs were high and paying extra for a breakfast basket felt unjustified given the experience overall.

Absolutely charming. The room was a peak experience, fully appointed, comfortable, quiet, relaxing, elegant. Breakfast in the room was a delightful treat, and perfect. The staff was warm, and helpful every step of the way. There is nothing that could be added, and we hope to return soon.

Tanya was wonderful, she was warm and welcoming without being intrusive. Warm cookies greeted us, the room was above our expectations. We enjoyed Moe's beer (within walking distance) and hiking and museums nearby. It was a wonderful 3 days

The Chambery Inn's spacious rooms with high ceilings and original blackboards created a charming atmosphere that I found good. The cleanliness and thoughtful decor added a touch of elegance.
A small snack fridge would be helpful.

Nicely conceived package with many litle extras such as whirlpool bath and gas fireplace in most rooms. Very helpful receptionist with guidance on where to go. Interesting history of building being a schoolhouse originally and then moved in one piece to be preserved. Breakfast is served in your room.
One night stay spoiled by machinery resonance cutting in and out throughout the night which prevented us from getting much sleep at all. Needless to say, the staff were mortified and said they would take care of the bill (not sure yet if they did as prepaid through Booked.net and could not wait to discuss as we had an important appointment). I asked them to sort out the problem before anyone else was booked to stay in the room.
